These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of BringYourOwnAI, including the website, browser extension, and any related content, software, and support services.

  • BringYourOwnAI is a bring-your-own-key product. Provider fees are charged by the provider you choose, not bundled into the software.
  • You are responsible for reviewing AI output before relying on it in business, legal, financial, medical, or other important contexts.
  • You must comply with applicable law and with the terms of the third-party providers you use through the product.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BringYourOwnAI, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. The Services

BringYourOwnAI provides a website, browser extension, and related materials designed to help users work with third-party LLM providers using their own credentials. The Services may change over time, including new features, modifications, or discontinuation of features.

3. Eligibility and Authority

You may use the Services only if you can form a binding contract under applicable law and have the authority to accept these Terms on behalf of yourself or any organization you represent.

4. Bring Your Own Key and Third-Party Providers

The extension may allow you to connect to third-party providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, Qwen, MiniMax, and Kimi. You are solely responsible for:

  • obtaining and managing your own provider accounts
  • complying with the provider's terms, pricing, and policies
  • all charges, quotas, or usage limits imposed by that provider
  • the legality of the content you send through those providers

BringYourOwnAI is not responsible for the availability, output, billing, content policies, outages, or data practices of any third-party provider.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

  • use the Services in violation of law or third-party rights
  • submit unlawful, infringing, malicious, or fraudulent content
  • attempt to interfere with, probe, disrupt, or degrade the Services or related systems
  • use the Services to violate confidentiality obligations or workplace policies that apply to you
  • bypass security controls, rate limits, or access restrictions

6. AI Output Disclaimer

AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or inappropriate for a specific use case. You are responsible for reviewing and validating all output before relying on it.

The Services do not provide legal, medical, accounting, investment, employment, or other regulated professional advice. You should obtain qualified professional advice where needed.

7. Purchases, Pricing, and Refunds

If we offer paid licenses or other paid access, pricing, delivery terms, and any refund terms will be presented at or before checkout. Unless stated otherwise at the time of purchase, provider usage charges are separate and billed by the provider you select.

8. Intellectual Property

The Services, including the Site design, branding, logos, and original content, are owned by or licensed to BringYourOwnAI and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You retain rights you already have in your own inputs and other content you provide, subject to the rights needed to operate the Services. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own licenses and terms.

9. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services if we believe you have violated these Terms, created security or legal risk, or used the Services in a way that could harm us, users, providers, or third parties.

You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive termination.

10. Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BringYourOwnAI disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BringYourOwnAI and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or business opportunity arising out of or related to the Services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of BringYourOwnAI for all claims arising out of or relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid to BringYourOwnAI for the Services in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty U.S. dollars (USD $50), whichever is greater.

12. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless BringYourOwnAI and its operators from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Services, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law or third-party rights.

13. Changes to the Services or These Terms

We may update the Services or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and post the revised Terms on the Site. Your continued use of the Services after the updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
